RE: How to replicate OST without VPN

Why not use OWA or wait for Exchange 2003 and deploy Windows 2003 with 
Exchange 2003 and then use RPC over HTTP.

The other option is to use Outlook Express and configure it to connect to 
the Exchange server via HTTP (WebDAV), but this would not give you all the 
features of Outlook (MAPI) or OWA such as Calendar etc
