Hello,

This information is stored on your Active Directory Domain Controllers.
In order to backup the Active Directory you choose the system state the
domain controller and back it up. If your Exchange Server is also your
domain controller (or one of them) then choose the system state on your
exchange server.

If you start the backup application on a Domain Controller and select
the system state and look in the details pane you will note the one of
the items is the Active Directory. This is where all the exchange user
information is, which in fact is one in the same with your account
information.

Bill

If you don't want to buy any additional software then
you can use the backup program that came with Windows-2000. It is
capable of backing up exchange databases. If you want to be able to
restore individual mailboxes you will have to look at veritas or
comvault, legato or some other backup soulution that has an exchange
agent. Of course you will need a tape drive or some other backup device.
