Vicki, not sure, as I haven't used the desktop redirector and wouldn't know how it functions differently from the server version. It could indicate a connection problem to the Blackberry service, which forwards the messages into the wireless network. Did you try stopping and restarting the desktop redirector prior to when it began working again? The emails got stuck yesterday and went into the pending category until this morning - suddenly about 10 minutes ago they started going through again - I haven't talked with my boss to see if he did something to the Blackberry - but it's kind of hard to know why the emails would suddenly not get to their destination - but maybe the device was full and needed to have emails deleted - do you have any experiences here that might be helpful in figuring out what is happening? Other than using a technology that bypasses the need for dial-up (such a wireless solution such as a Blackberry), you're options are very limited. I once again suggest trying the Blackberry; you might be able to get a local vendor to provide a trial of the service, paying only for the service time used, to introduce it to your boss. Vendors often extend this kind of offer to businesses, especially for the head honcho, hoping that it will generate further excitement and, thus, business. Check with your current cell phone vendor to see if they offer them. The Blackberry does not absolutely require the server-side component to work, so you could avoid that expense initially anyway. I use it sometimes, but ActiveSync is way cool and included with Exchange 2003, so you don't have to pay for Blackberry add-on's. Very nice with the new Compaq PDAs. I use it extensively on the road and the road warriors love it because it uses Windows conventions they're already famililar with. Tom www.isaserver.org/shinder Get the book! For users with PDA's, OMA (or Blackerry but that is an add-on with additional costs).
