I have had something similar and I had to blow away the local outlook
profile and recreate, making sure that when you recreate the outlook
profile it does not grab all the old settings (at some point it asks if
you want to import or create new settings, you go for the new settings).

Gentlemen,

I am running Exchange 2000 on a Windows 2000 Backoffice Server. I have
one
computer that insists on asking for a password to enter Outlook 2002.
It
asks for the password 5 times to get in. Not 4 not 6 but 5. I have
reinstalled Outlook 2002, checked the domain, removed and attached the
computer to the domain, but to no avail. What am I missing?
