If the drive is going to be in addition to your old drive look at this

This works very well, simply tell it where you want the new location to
be and it will move, keep in mind it does dismount the store so you are
looking at downtime for your users.
 
If your replacing your old drive then just backup and restore using your
perfered method, copy to another location; change drive; copy back,
backup software, etc...
