I've got a situation where that I've inherited whereby the OS and application (Exch.5.5) was completely LOST due to disk failures, BUT the database files (.edb .dat, etc) are intact in the "MDBDATA" and "DSADATA" and "MTADATA" folders.. I believe these files represent the MAILBOX STORE that existed... How can I recover these files INTO a NEW Exchange Server setup. I prefer to have them in Exchange 2000... Is there an "import" feature??? Do I have to establish them back into Exch. 5.5 THEN migrate to Exch. 2000.. Any help is greatly appreciated.. When I choose next, I see delete mailbox and install instant messaging. I am guessing that this move mailbox feature is part of the administrative tools on the Exchange 2000 server disk. What do you think? So when you right click over the account in Active Directory Users and Computers, and then select Exchange Tasks, what do you see? While creating a new mailbox, I discovered the mailbox was created in my Offline Address Book instead of my Priv edb. When I attempted to move the mailbox out of one location to the other, I learned that the move option in the Exchange Wizard was not present? Can anyone tell me how to install the move mailbox feature on my Exchange box? r/Bill ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: mark@xxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: wpeterson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: ghoward@xxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
