Umar You can ask your colleague to read the mail as a TASK. i.e. He can drag
the mails to the Tasks and read it and later put it back in inbox. The mail
will remain as UNREAD.

Hope this helps you .

Shoeb

It is not a public folder; it is an actual mailbox with different people having
rights to it

Is the group Mailbox a public folder? Or an actual mailbox with rights to
multiple users?

Subject: [exchangelist] Group Mail Boxes + Read / Unread Item

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi

I have created a group mailbox, which two of us are accessing. When an email
comes into the group mailbox, and if my colleague reads it before me, on my
Outlook it is treated as read item, is there anything which we can do to
prevent this. I want an email which is read by colleague in the group box in
her outlook as an unread message in my outlook's group email box till I read it.
