Lorie,
It is advisable to have multiple GCs in an AD environment for fault
tolerance. GC is not an FSMO role. Hence you may have multiple GCs
without any problem. It is a very good fault tolerant approach for the
AD applications such as Exchange 2000 that needs to talk to a GC
constantly.

Raj

Are you aware of any issues involving multiple global catalog
masters? We have been having problems with the GC on our Domain
Controller and are thinking of making another server a GC also. Do you
see any problems with this?
Thanks in Advance!
Lorie
