I have 1 Exch 5.5 server that connects to Internet and delivers mail to 5
Exch 5.5 servers in different sites and NT 4.0 domains. This server is in
the same site with the Exch 2000 server so it also delivers mail to the Exch
2000 server but it's in an NT 4.0 domain of its own.
This main Exch 5.5 server replicates with 4 of the servers through RAS
connectors and 1 server through a site connector. It does not have any
mailboxes but has a global list that contains all addresses including those
from the Exch 2000 server! However, users that have their mail on Exch 2000
server cannot see addresses on other servers on the global address list.

I assume your Exch 5.5 and Exch 2000 are in the same site, and your Exch 5.5
user accounts are stored in the AD. In this case your ADC Connection
agreement should replicate Exch 5.5 DS to the AD. All users who access
Exchange 2000 should be able to see all users in Exch 5.5.
Let me know if your setup is different.
