    Thats correct, when you configure outloo and type in the username or user 
email address , it comes up with some funny stuff like org=xxx / CN=abcd.. (The 
AD entry for the user).

        Did that, but the exchange server refused to treat that as the origanal 
address list.

          If you refer to Exchange 2000, you can create a new address book 
View. The GAL in Exchange 2000 is just a predefined Address book view.
