If you have the contact setup, you can do a lot more things with it,
like have Exchange do the forwarding automatically. With a rule, you
need to have your Outlook Client running. Also with a Contact, it will
show up in the Global Addy Book, which some people may want - you can
also hide it from the address book, too.

Why not simply set up a rule to forward directly to an external address?
Why bugger about setting up a contact object when this is not necessary?
I can think of several disadvantages to working this way but not a

advantage, am I missing something?

How do i forward incoming emails for a particular user to an outside
email
account such as hotmail, from exchange?
