Now now Bruce be nice.. Don't bite that hand that feeds you... :-)

Microsoft actually uses a light weight version of Veritas Volume Manger ( A
very respectable product in the Unix world ) and it does work well. I have to
admit that Microsoft does not offer good training on using these features and
could do a better job of having a webcast that focus's on such tools.

Yes it was because of dynamic Disk you see MS has to create products
that do not work and play well with others, why so you have to buy MS.

Warning, there is something about Server Magic (Volume Manger) that may
not
work.

I do not remember exactly, but about 1 1/2 years ago I need to increase
the
size of a NTFS partition that was a mirrored partition using Windows
2000
Server OS on 2 dynamic drives and when I talked to a tech at Symantec
about
it he said it would not work, even if I first deleted the mirror. It
might
have had to do with dynamic disks.

No, like I said that was 1 1/2 years ago (which was just after Symantec
bought Power Quest) so I am not sure if it was my particular
circumstances
or if what ever problem there was has been corrected.
