I solved it by removing the top level folder creation lists in exchange 5.5. I
made it none.
I got the clue from the exchange setup log:
failed, returning error code -2147467259 (An unknown error has occurred.). --
ID:31136 -- ScCreateProcess
(f:\titanium\admin\src\libs\exsetup\hiddenw1.cxx:1821)
There is not a single place or KB which connects to this issue.Its not
documented yet for the geberal public as of now.

support.microsoft.com?
If you did, then tell us so. Otherwise, we need more information about your

Here is my first one to the group.
Problem Definition:

1.Unable to run setup program of Exchange 2003. Error:
Setup failed while installing sub-component "exchange 2000 - exchange 5.5
synchronizer" with error code 0xc103798a What Iam doing: Already I have a
Exchange 5.5 server. Now I am installing Exchange 2003. Done forest
