If you uncheck that box before it populates, the SMTP address never shows up. -Jason -----Original Message----- From: Mulnick, Al [mailto:Al.Mulnick@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, March 15, 2005 1:06 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: [ExchangeList] Recipient Policy not apply to an OU? http://www.MSExchange.org/ No, you likely don't because the best way to do that would be uncheck that box as you describe. Any reason you don't do that on create vs. waiting? I'm curious though, is the target address you specify being overwritten or do you just want to remove the new address? S ________________________________ From: Jason Lehrhoff [mailto:JLehrhoff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, March 15, 2005 11:55 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] [ExchangeList] Recipient Policy not apply to an OU? http://www.MSExchange.org/ Is there any way to have a recipient policy not update an OU in AD? I have contacts that I give an outside SMTP mail address (some ListServe type DSL). These contacts always populate with my organization@.org, .com and .net in addition to the SMTP addie I give them. I have to wait for it to populate, then go in and take them out, and uncheck the "Automatically Update the email addresses based on policy" box. This is somewhat painful. Anyone? -Jason ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: ExchangeMailingList@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx The HealthCare Chaplaincy is a multifaith community of professionals from many cultures dedicated to caring for persons in spirit, mind, and body.
