Yes. It is called SMTP Authentication. It is a setting on the e-mail client.

Quick question..
Is there a possibility to configure SMTPVS or SMTPC on e2k server without
being open relay! While allowing legitimate users to send e-mails from any
place (IP) in the world and preventing spammers and unauthorized people from
using you Exchange server.
