We used get frequent MAPI errors in the Application logs. And Microsoft
TechNet has a couple of articles which recommends against installing
Outlook on the same server that is running Exchange Server, read the
following article for info...

What sort of issues do you see when outlook is installed on the exchange
server? We have Outlook installed on a number of our exchange servers
and have so far not really seen any issues that I would consider to be
related.

We had it with Exchange 5.5 and had problems. One thing to note is BBES
requires Outlook client to be installed on the server. And, exchange
server doesn't like it when you install outlook on the same server
running exchange. I used get very frequent mapi errors an other bunch of
errors. After migrating to Exchange 2000, the BBES is runnign in a
separate server that is not running exchange server. This has been quite
stable.

Hi All Guru's

Do any of you have your Blackberry server installed on
your Exchange server box and both workign perfectly
together on the same box?

I'm debating whether to save $10,000.00 and not
purchase an extra Blackberry server if I can just
install the server software on my Exchange server box
(which is Heavly loaded with 4 CPU's, etc., so
resources are not an issue.)

Thank you!
