Yes, it sure would. Unfortunately, they won't do that. Even a manual note that says "go here instead" -- that would work too. Unfortunately, they won't do that either. ________________________________ From: Carl Houseman [mailto:c.houseman@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, August 02, 2005 12:28 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Exchange Server and POP/SMTP server coexistance for same domain http://www.MSExchange.org/ Seems to me... a redirect for the obsolete KB number to the consolidated KB number would solve all problems. ________________________________ From: Michael B. But once they consolidate an article, they pull the one they decide is a "duplicate" and that can mess up searches for months (plus invalidate references in magazines and books and ....). So, we've learned to not do that. We generally just ask that they refer to each other instead - which these two do. ________________________________ From: Carl Houseman [mailto:c.houseman@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, August 02, 2005 1:08 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Exchange Server and POP/SMTP server coexistance for same domain Hmm, that's interesting - two separate KB articles that pretty much cover the same ground. ________________________________ From: Byron .......
