Thanks for your help, it has helped me a lot.
In continutation to my previous email,
1. When i create a new mailbox on my e2k server, My users in Ex5.5 cannot see
new user in their GAL, therefore i cannot explicitly add this newly created
user to assign permission to Public folders. And the same mailbox can see my
users on E5.5 as they are replicated to Active DIRECTORY.
2. Did microsoft charged you for this patch.
3. Is it possible for you to forward that patch to me.

We had a similar problem when we setup our E2k mailbox. We secured the
PFs with universal security groups, but the only people who could access
them were people on Exch 5.5 and people who were explicitly assigned to
the PF.
The KB article that describes this is Q318246. It appears the fix is
included in SP3. (When I went through this, I had to contact PSS and
get the hotfix as it wasn't yet public.)

Hi All,
I have a single site environment of two Exchange 5.5 servers. I have
upgraded one of them to Exchange 2000 server sp3. The problem is :- When
i create a new mailbox using Active Directory users and computers. I
cannot see public folders, though i can send and receive emails as
normal.
Also I can access Public folders using current accounts on either email
servers.
Please let me know if you have any inputs on kp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
