I'd have to agree with Greg. If you have the mailer daemon running on the
*nix box, but can't even telnet to TCP 25 on that machine then either you've
changed the listening port or you have something else that prevents (such as
anti-relay) you from talking to that app on that port. You need to fix the
*nix box to accept on that port from your Exchange server prior to moving
forward. You'll know you're done when you can telnet from your Exchange
sending server to the *nix machine on TCP 25.

Of course you are, you should make sure that sendmail or postfix or some
mail service is configured on the Linux box. Also that it is configured to
accept mail from your domain.
