NO. Trying to have Exchange 5.5 on a Windows 2003 DC, you are going against
the following issues:

You can not have Exchange 2000 or Exchange 5.5 running on Windows 2003
Server. (While Exchange 2000 on Windows 2003 server is not supported, that
MAY change soon.)

You should not have Exchange 5.5 on a Windows 2000 Server with AD installed.
(A DC.)

The reason is the meta base is different.
