quicker and more efficient to do it on the 5.5 ims, i have several eg. 
user@xxxxxxx in mine and these emails have stop arriving in my users inbox.also 
this option is good to stop email floods.

I think u have to set the delivery restrictions for every user. Go to
delivery restriction option of users property and set reject the mail from.

I am running Exchange Server 5.5 and am having a problem with 'virus' 
messages being sent from an external EMAIL address.

My VirusScan software is stopping the messages and sending an alert text 
message to the person in my company that the message was being sent to.

However, we are getting over 500 of these virus messages from the sender a 
day and my employee is getting 500 alert text messages a day.

We have contacted the sender and they have not taken any action thusfar.  As

a result, I want to block all messages from the sender before it is stopped 
by VirusScan.
