Create the external account as a mail enabled contact in your exchange server,
if you want .. you can hide it from the global address list after you set the
mails to be forwarded....
the steps would be to first create the external address as a mail enabled
contact, then using the properties of the exchange server set the mail
forwarding by selecting the account from the mail enabled contact list... nwo
if you dont want your users to see this account on the global address list,
open the active directory users and computers on the exchaneg server, choose to
view the advanced properties and there hide the contact from appearing in the
global address list.

Hi All,

Question: How do I set up a mailbox to automatically forward to an external
account? If I go to Properties -> Exchange General -> Delivery Options it
allows me to set up forwarding but ONLY to an internal account that is
listed in the global address list.

Thanks,
Kelli
