They are your message tracking logs, and backup will not purge them,
look on the server properties and see what you have set.

Subject: [exchangelist] Exchange 2003 Database Log files

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi all,

I noticed that on my Exchange server, the log files in the \Program
Files\Exchsrvr\servername.log\ directory have not been purged for many
weeks. This server is running Windows NT backup and I thought that the
log files get purged when the backup runs. I even ran a manual backup
making sure that I was backing up the Exchange stores, yet no luck. Log
files remain.

Any suggestions?
