Remco,
In NTBACKUP, you cannot browse the server name while redirecting. You
have to just type in the name of the new server. That's how it works.

Raj
I created the storage groups with the same name and directory location
as
the production environment, before i started the the exchange
installation i
did a /removeorg via the exchange CD and a /forestprep and /domainprep.
But still no luck.
What i also noticed is that if i select the exchange database to
restore i
am unable to select the server to which i want to restore to with
ntbackup.

Remco,
You also need to make sure you have created the Information store
databases in the new server with exactly the same name as the old
server. Also, if your legacyExchanegDN was something other than First
Administrative Group, you have to make sure the new server matches the
LegacyExchangDN attribute with the old server. If you need to modify
this attribute, you can use the utility called legacydn.exe from
Microsoft. But, Microsoft does not recommend using this in production
environment.

i am trying to restore a windows 2003 Cluster with Exchange 2003 on a
standalone server with Windows 2003.
I have already restored the domain controlers but am unable to restore
Exchange 2003 on a standalone server. The new exchange 2003 server has
the
same Organisational name and storage groups as the production
environment.

Thanks Remco
