I am current with Symantec Mail Security v4.0. I've disabled Symantec
mail Security v4.0 and restarted the server and inetInfo.exe is still
%100 or close.   Badmail had about 600 items in there; deleted them.

I think the other suggestion is worth a try - set you antivirus services
to disabled, reboot the server and see if you get the same issue. We had
an issue with CA ETrust whereby instead of overwriting the log files it
creates, it was trying to add new data to an already full log file so
just crashing the server effectively. Also check whether you have any
issues with space on other drives used - check badmail directory
particularly. See how you go with this. Does seem like a very typical
antivirus-related issue though.

Restarted IIS, NETDIAG and DCDIAG report clean.   No joy but thanks for
the suggestions.

Try restarting IIS - that should get you going again. Meantime you need
to check DNS resolution I think. Run NETDIAG and DCDIAG and see if there
are any failures there.

Background info:   Current SPs everywhere. Mail server is about a month
old has Symantec Mail Security installed locally. OS/boot drive has 50gb
free. Exchange drive has 106gb free. P4 1.8 box has 1gb memory with
about %10 in use.   I'm using reverse DNS lookup.

In the last few hours inetInfo.exe has gone %100 and the server is not
sending or receiving.   58 messages "Awaiting diretory lookup".   Logs
appear clean.   Any ideas?
