RE: Exchange 2000 removal...

I ran Forest Prep and Domain Prep for Exchange 2003 and then tried to
remove Exchange 2000 again from our old server and get the same error
itdentified in KB254960:
"Setup is unable to determine a valid ordering for the installation. See
the error log for further details."
Anything else I can try or should I proceed to manually remove the old
server?

Since you already have Exchange 2003, you should not be running the
Exchange 2000 Forest prep again. Suggest you re-run the Exchange 2003
Forest prep and Domain prep. This might help.

I recently installed a new Exchange server and put Exchange 2003 on it
however our old Exchange 2000 server is still up. When I try to remove
Exchange 2000 I get the error noted in this KB article:

Before I run the Exchange 2000 ForestPrep and DomainPrep I wanted to
make sure that there wasn't any catch I needed to worry about after I
run it. We're running a Windows 2000 AD with Exchange 2003. Thanks!
