RE: Exchange 2000 mailbox move

I remember. That's why I said Exchange had to be in native mode.

AG/RG is the 5.5 equivalent of the site. Once you go native (Exchange that
is), it's a permissions/administrative issue but no longer a mailstore issue
like it was in 5.5. You can move mailboxes between any servers in the forest
if you want to.

Migrating the windows account is totally separate from moving the mailstore
data since the store data and the attributes are two separate entities now.
You only need to move the domain account if you have particular processes
you want that user to do (update DG's for example via Outlook, some other
issues with permissions etc) or if you want to for some other reason other
than Exchange. It's a good idea though. ADMT might be a good idea for
that.

Remember, this is Exchange 2000 not 2003. Also, each AG has it own domain.

If I do an Exmerge, won't I have to remove the AD account and recreate it in
the other domain?

ESM Move Mailbox via the Exchange tasks menu. Assuming you're in native
mode.

What's the easiest way to move a mailbox from one Exchange 2000 AG to
another with minimal email loss?
