YOU READ IT RIGHT. EITHER GROUP OR A USER, ADD THEM TO ALL ADDITIONAL
MAILBOXES TO WHICH YOU WANT TO ASSIGN ACCESS.

STILL YOU FEEL IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE, REFER TO MS KB ARTICLE Q268754.

(I MADE THIS POST IN CAPS SO THAT YOU CAN READ IT RIGHT)

So you are saying, I do not have the ability to have one group in the AD
that can view all mailboxes? I have got to believe I am reading this wrong.

In Exchange 2000 you have to assign each person to each mail box with
required access rights. If you enable Advanced View in AD User and computers
interface, open the User prperties, Exchaneg advanced tab, and click on
Mailbox rights. Here you can add any person with the required access rights.
Unlike 5.5 Exch 2000 does not have a Service Account, which has full access
to all mailboxes.

Raj

All,
With Exchange 5.5, I created a group in my AD, and assigned the
group "Service Account Admin" priveleges to the Configuration Object and
Org. Site. Users in this group could then add any mailbox to their Outlook
client, and view mailboxes. (The group is "Exchange Master Admin"). How
can I do this in Exchange 2000?
