Al,

You're correct.  I found out what the culprit is.  Our drives are badly
fragmented.  We started getting Event ID's 2022 after I sent this out.

Requesting data on the client is an indication that you have a
performance

issue possibly on the GC.  Given that you have GFI and McAfee both

complaining about performance, you may want to look at the server itself
and

see if it's logging any other issues.  It sounds like a performance
issue

though.  Troubleshoot accordingly.

When Microsoft talks about the event log errors they suggests 

   "Retry the operation. If the problem persists, ask your system

administrator to stop and then restart the service. It may be necessary

contact the vendor of the service" for the event id 7011

you can also have a look at the knowledge base 835437 and then decide
what

is suitable for you.
