Phillip,
It depends on the size of your database and the hardware configuration.
When I ran  ESEUTIL on a 6 GB database in a PII - 550 MHz Compaq
Proliant server with 1GB RAM it took about 4 hrs to complete.

        What is a good way to estimate the downtime that will be needed
to run eseutil? We are a 24x7 shop and downtime has to be kept to a
minimum, so I need to be able to tell users how long email will be
unavailable.
