First of all, check the event viewer of the exchange
server for any strange error messages. If u are using
Exchange 2000, check the SMTP connector config or your
routing group config. Make sure all the services used
by exchanged are starting.

To be able to offer meaningful help, pls be more
specific on details like the exchange server version
and the last thing that happened b4 the problem
started.
