Depending on the scale, in this circumstance, I have changed the old server to use the new one as a smart host to the net. This would cause all email leaving the old server to pass through the new one first. You may check DNS as the first place to look to resolve the underlying issue though. -----Original Message----- From: exchange@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:exchange@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, April 18, 2005 8:06 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Email between servers slow http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi I have recently added an exchange 2003 server into my domain co exisitng with a 2000 server. after migrating a couple mail boxes I noticed that the mail sending between the 2000 exhcnage clients and the 2003 exchange clients is very latant. are there any settings I should be checking? thanks alot. -------------------------------------------------------- http://www.netdigix.com ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: tdoholis@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
