i am not an open realy. did the check that was on msexchange.com and i
regular submit to ordb.org just to make sure.
there must be another answer. what if i put a linux box in front and
have it parse email headers to find out if they are real addresses then
send the mail back to my exchange box has anyone tried this?

GFI Mail Essentials is a good start. Download that and
give it a whirl. Just be careful. If you do content filtering based on
words, you could cause some false positives. You may also want to ensure
you are not set up as an open relay. I can't remember which technet
articles they are, but they are not hard to find.

they are SPAM.... if it is a spoofed header how can I
block or check against that.

that nature? Are the emails spam or viral in nature?

Can someone help me out. I seem to be getting
emial sent to me but after looking at the header in the to field, it is
to someone else not even in the company I work for.
Can someone please explain why this would even
be let through or am I not seeing something corectly in the header, I am
using the view>options form outlook XP.
We use win2ksp3 and Exchg2ksp3 as well.
