All you have to do is send an email to all the mailboxes. I did this last week - I setup a distribution list containing all mailboxes. I then sent a test message to the mailboxes. The mail boxes have to be populated before Exmerge will work. They do not have to be logged on. I've created a bunch of new mailboxes, but since you need to log into a mailbox before ExMerge will see it, does anyone know of a way that I can log into all of my mailboxes without the pain and tedium of selecting each one individually?
