Thanks Dêniz.

I changed the NT4 administrator password and was unable to start
exchange until I changed it back again. Does that mean I am using the
same log in? (I have inherited a poorly documented system!!).
If so, what is the best way of resolving the problem as I do need to
change the administrator password?

Regards

David S.

If the NT4 login administrator is not the same login which is
running MS Exchange Services, there is no problem at all.

Dear all,

Is the answer the same for exchange 5.5 running on Windows NT4.
Can I change the NT4 administrator password or will this cause problems
with exchange server 5.5?
