Installing ESM on the _workstation_ will not effect the server at all. There are a couple of things that that will break on the workstation. I'm drawing a blank exactly what that list is right at this second, but editing PF permissions comes to mind. Here is a better reference than that KB http://blogs.msdn.com/stephen_griffin/archive/2004/07/03/172257.aspx -----Original Message----- From: Gary Clark [mailto:gclark@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2005 9:40 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] ESM and Outlook on the same PC http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi all, Reading the Cookbook for Exchange the instrucitons for installing ESM on XP make no comment about the Outlook + ESM incompatibilty http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;813602#appliesto We are running Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003 can someone comfirm that installing the ESM on to a XP client will still cause problems with the server logging? Would really like to stop the need for some of the team remote desktopping onto the server.
