John,

Certain devices, such as our Digital Senders, require relaying.  I don't
know why Naboth needs it, but there are certain instances where it is
required.

You're serious, right? There is absolutely no reason to have a SMTP
service
running as an open relay for all. Even if it is a private network. 

Please explain what it is you need to do or accomplish.
