Thanks...

But one small problem. What about the Exchange Directory Services?

How will they be affected? And how can you rename the root?

Any idea?

Cheers,

Alex.

Heres what u do. Configure the new MX record to jive to the machine. Go
into IMC from the Exchange Admin and you have to add the new domian name for
proper routing. Select email domain from the Internet Mail tab and simply
add both domain names it to. Next go into the Routing tab and select reroute
incoming SMTP mail and in the routing box again add the two domain names u
want to use. When finished, restart IMC and add the new domain alias for all
your users and that should work.

Hi Team:
I have a good and interesting question for everyone.
I currently have my domain name registered as oct.on.ca
We have acquired a new domain name called oct.ca
Management has requested that we migrate all e-mail accounts to the new
domain name.
That is: Change acontreras@xxxxxxxxx < mailto:acontreras@xxxxxxxxx
<mailto:acontreras@xxxxxxxxx> > to
acontreras@xxxxxx < mailto:acontreras@xxxxxx <mailto:acontreras@xxxxxx> > .
I need to be able to
keep
both addresses alive for a period of 6 months or so. In case a person
e-mails me at my old address, it will be forwarded to my new address.
We are currently running Exchange 5.5
Does any one have any recommendations, good books, and suggestions? What
about timelines?
Thanks,
Alex.
