That's the problem, I cannot find the correct user in ADUC to delete the
mailbox, and I have over 2000. Is there anyway I can go to the
properties of the mailbox in ESM and detach it from any mailboxes that
its attached to.

In ADUC delete the users mailbox, the mailbox will stay for 30 days by
default, run the Mailbox Cleanup Agent, and then reconnect the mailbox
to
the correct account.
