Deleting Email Messages

An Exchange user has email messages back to 2000 and wants to rationalise.
Is there a tool or easy way to takes all the emails in a file and throw
out everything that is a subset of another email - ie if the 'final' email
is my email response to your response to my response etc. then it only
retains the last in this series of correspondence?
