Default user address

I'm going ga ga ..... ADU&C logon user is set to Gordon (christian name
only) but I want the e-mail address to be Gordon.Smith@ - I've added a
Gordon.Smith@ to the SMTP e-mail address and he receives e-mail ok, but
when I try to set the SMTP default address to Gordon.Smith@ after a minute
it reverts back to Gordon@ - it's not a show stopper but why does it keep
reverting back ?
