Devon,
We had this problem very often, the RUS will stop updating email
addresses for objects all of a sudden. I spoke to MS Tech and they were
not able to figure out a reason. The only way I could get around is by
restarting the System Attendant service, this is effectively restarting
all your Exchange services. The moment SA is restarted, all objects get
updated, and RUS works for a week or 2 before it stops again. However,
Since we installed new servers, I have moved the RUS to an Exchange 2000
server with SP3. Since then it has been stable. Earlier the problems
occurred with SP2.

I would recommend that you recreate your Recipient Policy. If you dont
want
to do that then pls check for exception in existing policy.

I've looked everywhere, and cannot figure out why DL and some recipients

The RP hasn't changed. This only happens sometimes, to some recipients
and
all the time to all 'Universal Distribution Groups' and Public Folders.
How
can log changes to the Recipient Update Service?

This also happens when I create Public Folders. The email addresses

For some reason, when I create a Universal Distribution list in Exchange
2000, it doesn't obtain an email address. It has the 'Automatically

doesn't update the DL with an email address. When I create recipients,
