Contacts is the new name. And what you were thinking is exactly how it works: add a mail-enabled contact to the Active Directory. Any particular reason you don't want to add them to the Active Directory? I mean, that IS the directory for Exchange now. _____ From: David Johnson [mailto:djohnson@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, June 29, 2004 4:53 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Custom Recipients in Exchange 2003? http://www.MSExchange.org/ I've been searching for an answer to this question all day, but to no avail... In Exchange 5.5, I used to be able to add custom recipients to my GAL for people with external addresses that I wanted globally available. Is there a way to do the same in 2003? The only thing I can think of so far is to add the username to my AD and give them an external SMTP address (which I'd rather not do). Can anyone offer suggestions?
