Sorry. -----Original Message----- From: Morriz [mailto:mauri.fox@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, November 11, 2002 11:43 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] Connector? http://www.MSExchange.org/ ========================================================================= Port 25 shows smtp service is running, if yr IP is xx.xx.xx.xx you should see something like xx.xx.xx.xx:25 to show that it is listening on port 25 (smtp). If you run c:\> telnet xx.xx.xx.xx 25 you should see a banner something like 220 smtp.domain.A Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 5.0.2195.5329 ready at Mon, 11 Nov 2002 20:53:55 +0800 This is a basic way of testing. Without knowing yr exact setup I can't comment much ========================================================================= Hi! Well i cant connect to port 25 with my ip adress throu telnet. Can this port be blocked fore incoming mails? Because it worked fine before to send mails bot not to recive, but now i cant send either. My setup: Is an exchage 2000 server on win2000 server machine with active directory. That is behind a linux router(freesco) that i have porforward port 25 etc. In system manager i have configured the virtual SMTP (defualt) in FQDN my MX record domain and in the configure button i have giv it my ip adress 213.x.x.x , in policies i have giv it my domain. I think thats about it. Sow in my e-mail clients i would look like this: name@xxxxxxxxxx server: mail.domain.com the user i get from AD that i have setup with e-mail adress. But i cant send test mails to my self or to outside. I have it worked before with connector, but i know that connectors is not necesary to setup an simple mailstranfer. Why? have i forgote something?
