Port 25 shows smtp service is running, if yr IP is xx.xx.xx.xx you should see something like xx.xx.xx.xx:25 to show that it is listening on port 25 (smtp). If you run c:\> telnet xx.xx.xx.xx 25 you should see a banner something like 220 smtp.domain.A Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 5.0.2195.5329 ready at Mon, 11 Nov 2002 20:53:55 +0800 This is a basic way of testing.
