A batch file with;
Net Stop "Microsoft Exchange Information Store"
Net Stop "Microsoft Exchange Management"
Net Stop "Microsoft Exchange System Attendant"
This can be done with any other service needed. Doing a "Net Stop with
the name of a service" will stop that service, doing a "Net Start with
the name of a service" will start a service.
On that note, keep in mind backups are done online, you don't want to
stop Exchange services to back them up.

I need a batch file which closes all the required MSE and other services
so I can perform a full MS Exchange2000 backup with CA Backup. I am not
a Win2000 tech but can execute batch files etc.
If there is another which would restart these services, it would stop me
having to reboot the server and restart that way.
I have MS Exchange2000 on my W2000 DC server
