There are some incompatibilities in your statements (Exchange 2002??) What server are you connecting to? If you have all updates to WindowsXP Pro ? that is your problem. Starting with SP1 ? problems keeping a connection to Win2K SP3 server; takes ½ hr to open office docs on same server; etc etc. KB 811493 update causes a high % of XP machines to stop in this scenario. Good resource is www.smallbizserver.net <http://www.smallbizserver.net/> . It discusses all (that can?t be right, we haven?t found them all yet!) the failings of M$ updates. Let us know what resolves your issues. Using Windows XP Pro, updates all installed. Using Exchange 2002 connecting to Exchange Server 5.5 What my issue is that we have an Alpha Server that sends a email report on the nightly backup to me when the backup is completed. The size of the email roughly 843KB. When I go to open it, Outlook hangs, go to Task Manager, says Outlook is not responding. I can open other emails larger than this so I'm confused why I can't open up this particular email. When I highlight the email, right click on it, Forward, it opens. Anyone ever have this issue?
