There are some incompatibilities in your statements (Exchange 2002??)
What server are you connecting to? If you have all updates to WindowsXP
Pro ? that is your problem. Starting with SP1 ? problems keeping a
connection to Win2K SP3 server; takes ½ hr to open office docs on same
server; etc etc. KB 811493 update causes a high % of XP machines to stop
in this scenario. Good resource is www.smallbizserver.net
<http://www.smallbizserver.net/> . It discusses all (that can?t be
right, we haven?t found them all yet!) the failings of M$ updates.
Let us know what resolves your issues.

Subject: [exchangelist] Can't open email
http://www.MSExchange.org/
Hey Gang!
Using Windows XP Pro, updates all installed.
Using Exchange 2002 connecting to Exchange Server 5.5
What my issue is that we have an Alpha Server that sends a email report
on the nightly backup to me when the backup is completed. The size of
the email roughly 843KB. When I go to open it, Outlook hangs, go to
Task Manager, says Outlook is not responding. I can open other emails
larger than this so I'm confused why I can't open up this particular
email. When I highlight the email, right click on it, Forward, it
opens. Anyone ever have this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
