I get the same error as the guy who started the thread:

The SSL certificate server name is incorrect.
ID no: c103b404
Exchange System Manager

My cert is correct. I've done it several time to verify. The only thing that
is different between my problem and the original question is that my directory
security options are not grey out.

Shouldn't need to restart anything, what's the error you are getting? Is
it a username/password prompt??

Okay, I put in the Netbios name in the host header field for default web
site. I could not enter a netbios name for the SSL setting.
I will restart IIS after business hours and let you know if I still get
the error in ESM.

Thanks Steve,

Why would host headers come into play when viewing public folders via
the ESM? There is no issue with Outlook or OWA displaying the public
folders.

Thank you for clarifying. I really thought host headers were for
hosting multiple web sites on the sam nic...

That's the prob...you need the pc name in the host header in the nic
properties in IIS

Are you using host headers?

I have this problem when viewing my Public Folders in Exchange System
Manager. I can change the SSL settings, I have only one certificate,
and I can access the public folders via Outlook and Owa with no problem.
I'm running SBS 2003.

I just get this error when trying to view the folders in ESM.

Any ideas?

Hi all,

I set up SSL on our exchange server, using another Win2003 server as the
Certificate Authority, to allow secure access to OWA.
That works correctly.

However, when trying to brows the Folders in ESM I receive the error:

The SSL certificate server name is incorrect.
ID no: c103b404
Exchange System Manager

I looked on the MS KB and found the article:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=324345
You receive an SSL Certificate error message when you view public
folders in Exchange System Manager

In the resolution, I am instructed to perform the following steps in
IIS:
3. Right-click Exadmin, and then click Properties.
4. Click the Directory Security tab.
5. Under Secure Communications, click Edit.

However, the 'Edit' button, and all other buttons, under Secure
Communications are greyed out.

How best would I resolve this issue and allow access to "Folders" in
ESM?
Should I just start the process again, of configure SSL?

I will be moving to a separate FE server or Citrix implementation so may
just try to remove the requirement for SSL on the exchange server,
anyway.
Again, how would I do this if I cannot access the "Secure
Communications"
area in IIS?

As an aside, why is the "Folders" area in ESM so sensitive to the SSL
certificate?

Any help appreciated,

Adrian
