Yep, I cannot see any reason why you would want them to come into your org,.

Chris

I would block all of those, it is very easy now for a url to be launched
when you open a video file, my policy when it comes to attachments is, if
you cannot provide me with a valid business reason why we should allow a
certain type of attachment in then it will not be allowed in.

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone knows of any resources that may recommend
potentially unsafe file types that should be blocked (or explains why
certain file types should be blocked in e-mail).

I am running GFI Mail Essentials and out of the box it is very
restrictive. I have relaxed many of the blocks. There are a couple that I
have questions about and would like to get the communities opinion. Should
these be blocked?

- .ASF
- .WMV
- .MPEG
- .WMZ

I realize that most of these deal with video in some capacity, but my
concern is if files of this type can in general be safe to my user community
(free of virus')

Thanks for your opinion,

Chris
