Hi Alex, We have a similar newsletter of about 3000 that we send monthly to our members. What we actually do is use a product called GroupMail but send through the ex2000 server as a normal smtp server from inside our network. This third party application is quite nice as it will insert delays in the sending process, so for example we pause for 5 seconds every 20 emails. This prevents upstream relays assuming it's a flood and blocking the send. I am running Exchange 5.5 on a 2K system. What would be the most efficient way of doing this? We will be sending out batches of 3000 or so e-mails a time (this is because Exchange can only process 5000 simultaneous e-mails - please correct me if I am wrong). I get the e-mails from an SQL DB and import them into a .csv file, then import that into my Exchange box. Any suggestions? Cheers, Alex. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: charlesc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
